ENROLL IN 2C TAX CLASS
step 1: obtain a woodland stewardship plan
To begin, you will need to obtain a Woodland Stewardship Plan. Our foresters are Certified Stewardship Plan writers and can complete this process for you. Having a plan is a required by the state in order to qualify for the 2c Tax Class.
step 2: fill out the application
To start, you must fill out the 2c Tax Class application. You will need your property’s Parcel ID Number(s), total acres of each parcel, recent property tax statements for each parcel, and a copy of your Woodland Stewardship Plan. Click the button below to download the application.
Step 3: submit to assessor
Once the application is filled out and all required documentation is attached, you will need to submit it to the assessor’s office in the county where your property is located. Please note that the deadline is May 1st in order to receive reduced taxes the following year. Click the button below for quick access to county assessor information.
