WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT
Protect. enhance. enjoy.
We offer two ways to enhance wildlife habitats:
WOODLAND STEWARDSHIP PLANS
A Woodland Stewardship Plan is a forester-written document that describes your own personal goals that you have for the future condition of your woods, outlines the unique resources found on your property, and then recommends management options that include ways to enhance habitat for wildlife, as well as other ways to sustain your woods such as planting trees, building trails, pruning high-value trees, or harvesting timber. Having this plan in place also qualifies you for lower property taxes or receiving payments from the state, both of which serve to reward you for deciding to actively manage your woods and wildlife habitat.
TIMBER HARVESTING
Timber harvesting is an excellent source of income and a wonderful boost to the habitats of many different animal species! Forested areas that are less than 10 years old provide critical habitat needs for deer, grouse, and a variety of non-game birds and mammals as well. We work closely with landowners who want to profit from their timber and have goals for wildlife management. Your wishes for your property are the top priority when our foresters manage a timber harvest for you. We maximize your profits and hold loggers accountable for clean, efficient work.
